Shangri-La Suite Terrace, Paris, with Eiffel Tower View

Paris - Spring 2021 - The Parisian weather promises to be changeable this week in May 2021, yet the installation team from Maison Boulay, a family carpentry business since 1979, is excited to start this new project. They are set to install an exclusive terrace with Silvadec Atmosphère decking boards, offering breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower on the 7th floor of the 5-star Shangri-La hotel.

Shangri-La x Silvadec

The 5-star Shangri-La hotel commissioned Maison Boulay to replace the exotic wood terrace of one of its finest suites with WPC (Wood-Plastic Composite) decking.

The distributor and installers recommended French-made Silvadec WPC, renowned for its quality and durability.

This high-end product meets the quality standards of a luxury hotel.

Exposed to wind, rain, and temperature variations, the terrace must maintain its aesthetic appeal in all conditions.

The Shangri-La hotel chose the Atmosphère 180 mm Rio Brown boards: “Our client, the 5-star Shangri-La hotel, quickly selected the Silvadec Atmosphère Rio Brown 180 mm boards from a sample. We were impressed by the ease of installation on aluminum joists, the handling, and the quality of Silvadec products. The client was very satisfied with the result and the aesthetic appearance,” says Mr. Jérémie Dray, manager of Maison BOULAY.

Silvadec provided custom boards for optimal installation.

Silvadec adapted to the hotel's specific requirements, facilitating logistics and delivery of boards to the suite balcony. The Silvadec sales team assisted Maison Boulay in optimizing terrace planning. Together, they managed the challenge of transporting 4–5 tons of material and 600–700 adjustable supports.

The terrace at the foot of the Eiffel Tower shines after 10 days of installation

From dismantling and removal to installation and cleaning (and despite unfavorable weather), the terrace was completed after 10 days.

The installers opted for adjustable supports and Silvadec aluminum joists, with Silvadec Atmosphère decking boards and stainless steel clips.
