A composite terrace to enhance the Mediterranean spirit

This project showcases the art of mixing Silvadec Elegance composite wood decking. The aim? To create a pool deck that combines contemporary Elegance with Provençal charm. Iroise grey was a natural choice because of its ability to blend in perfectly with the warm colours of the façade and the surrounding Mediterranean vegetation.

The 60 m² composite decking follows the contours of the pool, creating a refined yet functional outdoor living space. Alternating smooth and grooved Elegance boards give the decking a visual structure, while providing excellent slip resistance. This variation in textures adds relief and a touch of modernity to this traditional home.

Recognised expertise

The installation, carried out by Brico Bois, successfully met a number of technical challenges. The boards were laid lengthways in relation to the bay window, accentuating the perspective and naturally guiding the eye towards the horizon. The palm and olive trees were cut to size, ensuring that the project blends harmoniously into its surroundings. To enhance the overall effect, recessed spotlights have been integrated so that you can enjoy the terrace even after dark.

Iroise grey matches the elements of the garden perfectly, bringing a controlled modernity without distorting the spirit of the place. Thanks to their technical properties - resistance to UV rays, pool treatment products and ease of maintenance - Elegance boards are ideal for the Mediterranean climate.

An award-winning project

This project is a perfect illustration of the ability of Silvadec products to meet the most demanding requirements by combining performance and aesthetics. In 2013, Brico Bois won the Talent d'Or Silvadec award for this wood composite project. A panel of journalists specialising in outdoor design rewarded François Bousquet and his team for a project that was as harmonious as it was technical.
