Once again, Silvadec has obtained the MORE label. This young European label highlights action by plastic-moulding companies to support a circular economy and to integrate recycled plastic in their production.
MORE means “MObilised for Recycling” ; Silvadec also obtained the label in 2019, its creation year.
It was important for Silvadec to obtain and retain this label, because our products are naturally composites. While their main component is wood (2/3), they also include 1/3 plastic material, which gives them exceptional physical properties. Therefore, the 2020 MORE label (for our 2020 activity) salutes our strong commitment to reduce the environmental footprint of our product manufacturing by favouring the use of recycled raw materials.
MORE is helping our industry to work along circular lines, by collecting the volume of recycled polymers used by plastic-transforming companies to create new products, and by stimulating wider adoption of recycled polymers.
The label is now two years old, and already it is giving real recognition to the commitment of industrial companies, and bearing witness to our progress in supporting more sustainable consumption. It is awarded to plastic-moulding companies who operate transparently and declare the volumes of recycled raw materials they use.
For Silvadec in particular, the MORE label aligns with the genuine circular economy approach that we have followed for nearly 20 years, which is now being recognised and rewarded by numerous labels and certifications.
